Born 1979, Tsui Xiao Rui, also known by his American name Sorell Raino-Tsui, is a mixed race Chinese-American painter, muralist, curator, producer of contemporary public art and partner at ABG Art Group.
Xiao Rui’s personal public art style reflects traditional Chinese heritage, fabric patterns and symbolism combined with contemporary abstraction and modern themes of floral and plant life.
His studio painting practice mixes elements of traditional Chinese calligraphy and gestural strokes merged with modern abstract styling to create playful new fusions of Asian identity and language.
